Importing Sizes from GAM
Import ad sizes from Google Ad Manager so they're available when configuring slots.
What are sizes?
Sizes are the dimensions of ad creatives (width × height in pixels):
| Size | Common name |
|---|---|
| 300x250 | Medium Rectangle |
| 728x90 | Leaderboard |
| 320x50 | Mobile Leaderboard |
| 300x600 | Half Page |
| 970x250 | Billboard |
How sizes are imported
Connecting GAM (see Connecting GAM) grants Anima access to your network — it doesn't pull sizes automatically. You import them on demand:
- Switch to Ad Manager (main) mode
- Go to Inventory → GAM
- Click Import and confirm the dialog
Anima doesn't run a background job that re-pulls sizes on a schedule, and sizes don't have a per-row sync action. To refresh after a change in GAM, run Import again.
Viewing imported sizes
- Switch to Ad Manager (main) mode
- Go to Inventory → GAM
- View the sizes surfaced from your GAM network
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Dimensions | Width × Height |
| Name | Display name (if set in GAM) |
| Status | Active/Inactive |
| Usage | How many slots use this size |
Using sizes in slots
When creating or editing an ad slot:
- Go to Inventory → Ad Slots
- Create or edit a slot
- In Sizes, select from the dropdown
- All GAM-synced sizes are available
Standard IAB sizes are pre-loaded even without GAM import. GAM sync adds any custom sizes you've created.
Custom sizes
If you use non-standard sizes in GAM, they'll import automatically.
To create a custom size in GAM:
- Go to Inventory → Sizes in GAM
- Click New Size
- Enter dimensions
- Save
Re-import sizes from Inventory → GAM, and the new size appears in Anima.
Troubleshooting
Size not appearing
| Cause | Solution |
|---|---|
| Import didn't include it | Re-import from Inventory → GAM |
| Size not in GAM | Create it in GAM first |
| Recent GAM change | Re-import to pull the latest |
Can't use a size in slot
If a size appears in the list but can't be selected:
- Check if the size is marked "Active"
- Verify the size is appropriate for the slot type
